The fact that the list contains some very common plants should not be cause for concern. Most of these potentially harmful plants taste bad and are unlikely to be eaten in sufficient quantities to cause permanent damage. Woody garden plants are also unlikely to be eaten by your cat – tender household plants pose most risk.

2 Kittens and some cats love to chew so tidy away cables as they can be very tempting for cats

3 Venetian Blinds and net curtains can cause cats to get caught up in them so either keep them up out of the way or do not have them at all

4 Cleaning fluids can be harmfull to cats if swallowed or even from contact with their paws so keep the locked up out odf the way.

5 Chocolate is very toxic for cats and there are some cats that love it .So keep you chocolate away from your cat or kitten

6 When it comes to kittens they like to explore and as you cannot keep an eye on them all the time make sure the toilet seat is always kept closed  because little kittens can fall in .

7 If you have an open fire placeand it is not in use keep a gaurd on it as kittens love dark holes and could easily try getting up the chimney

8 Washing machines and dryers . Keep all doors shut when not in use.Cats love to get inside them and you may not notice them. There are lots of stories of cats being washed or dryed after going to sleep in the machines and owners not seeing them untill the machine is in motion.

I hope these tips will help you to make your home a safe place for your cat or kitten.
